1/16 scale model of a Ford tractor, 01 series built from 1957-62. This is a special Employee Gift for Ford tractor plants in in the 1950' The model is a Gold Edition Employee Gift, given to plant employees in the late 1950s. The story goes that these models were produced in house by tractor facility members themselves and were only available to Ford employees. There is no manufacturer's name visible, only a "Made in USA" above the clutch pedal on the left side. The castings on this model look very similar to Hubley models I have seen on eBay. I assume these models were produced by Hubley for Ford. This particular model is in good condition. I believe that the gold color is not paint but has actually been electroplated, possibly brass. It doesn't seem to show the type of wear consistent with painted models. I believe it represents a '57-'62 901 Ford Powermaster Tractor. The front wheels steer by turning the steering wheel. The gearshift lever is movable. The three point hitch seems fully functional and moves up and down freely.
