Matilda Charlotte Antiques Etc is thrilled to present more than four dozen antique & vintage gauges, some used on steam locomotives and some in factories. The auction includes two rare, highly sought after dual facing gauges used in the late steam locomotive/early diesel engine time period. Many of the gauges found here are bronze or brass with cast iron, and some are all bronze or brass on the exterior. Bronze and brass take a high polish, and make quite a statement wherever they appear.

For preservationists, these gauges might be the missing piece to help restore a steam locomotive. Please note: working condition is unknown in all but one lot.

In house, as we admired the gauges, we considered a "gauge gallery," perhaps 4-8 gauges with various faces and purposes displayed together on a wall. Outstanding for home, office.

Diameter measurements are for the front portion of the gauge, the frame around the face.
